2020 Cape of Wonders Event
On Thursday, October 29, 2020, the IUPUI Center for Translating Research Into Practice (TRIP) hosted the Cape of Wonders. Professor Peter Schubert, the 2020 Bantz-Petronio Translating Research Into Practice Awardee, facilitated a brainstorming session to generate ideas to use clothing to power electronic devices and more. During the event, participants discussed how to potentially use this technology within the medical field, how to ensure cyber security of the device, methods to use the clothing in an environmentally positive manner, and so much more. Stay tuned for updates as this project gets closer to becoming a reality.

As much as possible, we want the Cape of Wonders to be an interdisciplinary and multi-disciplinary project that engages people from a number of different fields and different schools within the IUPUI campus. Then, we want to find the right people who are interested and fascinated to try this out.
