ProfessorUnderstanding COVID-19 Birth Stories
This research involves collecting data via focus group discussions with women across the country who were pregnant and have given birth during the pandemic. This research explores women’s support networks and mental health experiences with the intent to provide practical advice to individuals supporting women both personally and professionally. We are currently expanding this research and conducting one-year follow-up interviews with women to learn more about life with a newborn during a pandemic so that additional information can be gathered to support new mothers as they face new and unique challenges.
