Using mixed method assessment methods in informal learning spaces in libraries
Using unobtrusive observation and various surveys, a colleague and I collected information about how students use informal learning spaces inside the library to inform our decision-making process before a major renovation. Our data evaluation helped determined what design features could best support students' needs, and through our efforts students' collective input was used to transform library informal learning spaces.
