Developing a Resilience-Based Framework in Tourism and Hospitality
One of the critical goals of my research agenda is to develop a resilience-based framework to help tourism and hospitality organizations to manage different types of crises. Firstly, my studies are mostly based on first-hand data, and targets at transferring academic insights into practical implications. The empirical nature of my studies fits the definition of evidence-based studies. Secondly, my studies used a cross disciplinary approach, covering fields such as tourism and hospitality management, health communication, crisis communication, and organizational behavior. Lastly, tourism and travel is becoming an essential part of our everyday life. The rapid development of the industry benefits the residents and local economy. My studies aim at enhancing their resilience and preparing for future complications. This aligns well with the goal of improving the overall quality of life for our community.
