Get a Free Home Lead Inspection
|
IU faculty and staff who are residents of Marion County can participate in a free home lead inspection and risk assessment, collecting dust, paint, soil and water samples for testing. If you do not wish to participate in the inspection, you can still collect and submit Lead Screening Kit samples on your own. These kits are available upon request or by visiting certain Indianapolis Public Library branches. Once samples are submitted, researchers will analyze them and return a full report detailing what they found. In addition, if elevated lead levels are detected, they will provide a list of strategies for reducing lead exposure.
